This Privacy Policy describes how UptimeGrid ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you visit our website, create an account, or use the UptimeGrid Service. We are committed to GDPR-compliant data handling.

  • Billing data — payment method, billing address, and tax identifiers (handled by our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy).
  • Support data — messages, attachments, and metadata when you contact us.
  • Monitor configuration — URLs, hostnames, IPs, ports, and check parameters you configure in the dashboard.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, timestamps, and referrer URLs.
  • Device data — IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
  • Check results — heartbeats, response times, status codes, and diagnostic output produced by agents you deploy.

2. How We Use Data

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • Send transactional emails (alerts, billing receipts, security notices).

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your monitor configurations or check results for advertising.

  • Payment processor — Lemon Squeezy, Inc. (handles billing and tax compliance).
  • Cloud infrastructure providers — Microsoft Azure (hosting, data storage).

  • Analytics providers — privacy-friendly product analytics, configured to minimize PII.
  • Legal authorities — when required by valid legal process.

All processors are bound by contractual data-protection terms and may only use your data to provide services to us.

5. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States and the European Union. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent safeguards approved by the European Commission.

6. Data Retention

  • Account data — retained for the life of your account plus up to 90 days after deletion.
  • Billing records — retained for the period required by applicable tax law (typically 7 years).
  • Check results — retained according to your plan's data-retention setting (1 day to 365 days).
  • Backups — encrypted backups are rotated and overwritten on a rolling schedule.

7. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your personal data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent).

We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, hashed passwords, role-based access control, optional 2FA on accounts, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies for:

  • Essential — authentication, session management, security. These cannot be disabled.
  • Preferences — language, theme, and dashboard layout.
  • Analytics — aggregated usage analytics (privacy-friendly, no cross-site tracking).

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
